Snow, no problem, Ice might be an issue?

So far there has been no sign of the promised snow, and for the afternoon here we have had nothing but rain thus far.

With temperatures bound to drop overnight we can only hope that rain doesn’t turn to snow. Please have a quick look at our web cam on the homepage before you set off tomorrow, to make sure the dreaded white stuff hasn’t fallen overnight.

One problem we do have, is the water falling on frozen ground is leading to quite icy conditions, particularly in the car park. We had to get out and put chippings down on the car park this afternoon as the water began to turn to ice. We predict that we may need to do this again first thing in the morning, before we can open the gates. This could lead to a delay in us opening. Therefore if you do plan on getting here at first doors, you may have to be prepared for a short wait as we make the car park safe for traffic. We predict that this will take up to 45 minutes for us to achieve. Therefore we proberbly won’t be open fully before 10.00am!

We also believe that the trails will be icy tomorrow, so please take great care, and ensure you have the correct equipment for the conditions.
